Important badugi basics
• According to badugi rules, the dealer is determined by use of high cards and large blind post.
• The first four cards are given to players by the dealer one at a time. The cards are given in a clockwise direction beginning with the smallest blind.
• Every first betting round, the action must begin from under the gun player i.e. a player who with a big blind.
• A player is allowed to call, for tell or raise any previous bets.
• At the middle of the game, a player is given an opportunity to draw for new cards and in a clockwise direction beginning with the small blind.
• A player is allowed to change all the four cards in the hand. The cards are surrendered before obtaining new cards. Discarded cards are added back to the deck then reshuffled before they are dealt with.
• Second betting round still starts on the left position with small blinds.
• The Third betting round follows the same procedure as in the second round, but bets are bigger in this round.
• Fourth betting is the final round and only consists of big bets.
• Rules of badugi are applied after the final betting and calling, players who still have cards will place their cards face up on the table. Based on the badugi hand evaluation technique the dealer will identify the winner.
